A Warm Welcome

(Picture taken from the St. Louis Review website)

It's now official... Welcome to His Excellence Archbishop Robert Carlson.
Yesterday's Installation Mass was beautiful, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful day. Some thought the humidity was a bit oppressive. I didn't stand outside during the half-hour long procession in vestments, so I will take their word for it. ;)
The Cathedral was packed. Overflow seating was planned for both transepts and one side chapel; additional seating in two other side chapels was added. One priest said that he had never seen it so full, even for Rigali's installation. Originally, Communion had been set-up for 2000 people but an extra 500 hosts were added after Mass started, so they were able to accommodate the large number of faithful in attendance.
Next up... Corpus Christi procession on Sunday evening.
