Integrity Issues

My meeting with the manager of the ethics and compliance office did not go well. There were two incidents involving one individual with whom I work, which taken together I feel constitute a pattern of behavior/attitude that needs to be addressed. One issue was dismissed as insignificant. Regarding the other, I was questioned about why I was the one bringing the issue forward and told that the involved party might have to make the formal complaint (if the integrity officer deems it significant and worth pursuing). I feel like a child who tattled to the teacher and was smiled at, patted on the head, and sent back out to play. *sigh* I must be patient as I wait for the integrity officer’s opinion.

I am very appreciative of the support of my two friends who are aware of the issues. They agree that my concerns are significant and need to be brought to the attention of individuals who can take action. One has offered to contact a lawyer friend of his who specializes in this area. I don’t think that I could pursue this to that degree without the support of the university.

Awwwww...lovin' the gratitous kitten photo. What a cutie!

I oft times remind myself that the outcome isn't near as important as doing what's 'right' for me. Cuz that's about MY integrity, yaknow?
