Said on Sunday

I had the wonderful privilege of assisting at the Ordination Mass for three transitional deacons and one priest this afternoon. Spending 13 consecutive hours in the presence of at least one of the guys today allowed me to collect some wonderful and goofy quotes.
"I hope the ontological change doesn't hurt!"
"Ordinations are just like weddings, just with less dancing... and chrism."

Upon JM listing reasons "you might be an Old Church Lady if..." "Does it bother anyone else how well he knows Old Church Ladies?" [BTW I am an Old Church Lady by his standards.]

An exchange between a friar and an eight year old: "Did you get a blessing yet?" *shakes head no* "Don't you want a blessing?" *shakes head no* "Yes, you do." "What do I want?" "Let's go get you a blessing."

MFF came to my third grade catechism class this morning. They had so many questions for him (which he graciously answered).
"Were you always a Brother?"
Many questions related to MFF's habit: "Can you put your hood up?" "Do you sleep in it?"
"Did Jesus ever love anyone?" "Jesus loves everyone." "Not that kind of love."
After having asked who Mary's mother was, one followed up by asking who St. Ann's mother was. "We don't know that." "Oh... does the pope know?"
