No Christmas decorations in my apartment this year because the boxes are stored in the basement. While I have missed the tree, lights and other baubles, it’s not worth the risk of falling down the stairs trying to haul the boxes up.
I donate blood regularly. But when I went to the blood bank this week I was turned away because of the crutches. Post-donation directions include “no heavy lifting” which is apparently not compatible with getting around on crutches.
My mother and her brother have been bickering most of the year--typical sibling stuff. One result is that my grandmother did not come for Christmas this year. And my sister was on-call on Christmas Day (and most of the preceding and following days) so she was home for two nights and one day. Mom had taken time off work, and I was looking forward to a week of “all the girls” time.

Oh boy........*sigh*
Isn't it amazing how stuff falls into place some times? Not comfortably.....but amazing, even if it doesn't necessarily 'feel good'.
I'm going to hold on to trusting that all things happen for the good. But disappointments are ucky....and I can't say that I like 'em very much......
