"St. Augustine probably should be named the patron saint of all revised book editions, since, near the end of his life, he was one of the few theologians in history humble enough to a whole book entitled simply Retractions, containing nothing but revisions and corrections of all his previously published work. May our Savior grant that all of us who work on books concerning His merciful love will become as humble and willing to correct and revise our own work as S. Augustine was!"
(from Stackpole, R. Divine Mercy: A Guide from Genesis to Benedict XVI. Revised edition.)

Wow.....now there's a fact I didn't have prior to this moment.
Publishing your retractions and errors--there's humility in action. More concerned about truth than how it looked.....I should heed that message.
