Floating Feet

Oh my goodness! This is the creepiest, coolest news story I've seen recently. And it's just in time for Halloween.

Foot found on Richmond beach is seventh foot found on B.C. coast


According to my friend, when a body decomposes in water the feet will "pop off." The bouyancy of the sneakers draws them to the surface where they float along until they find a beach and an unsuspecting individual out for a stroll.

National Geographic even did a story on this last summer. I feel like I've been missing out on an interesting phenomenon.
