Silence is golden

I am always amused by the posters and signs in the hallways and classrooms at lower and middle schools. Colorful bulletin boards remind me of the "good ol' days." Posters in my world are more boring than the bright and fun slogans.

I see this sign every week in the science classroom at a neighborhood school where I volunteer. (I am one of the "Scientists" helping the seventh and eighth graders with their science fair projects.) I think that we should encourage more people to heed its suggestion.
